Project manager with a development background. I stay with my team from the first brief to the release, and I make sure we understand, with empathy, what both the client and the team need.

Profile

I studied Multimedia Production Engineering, which gave me a broad profile across design and development. I brought creativity into development, and then into project management.

Process

How a project moves when I run it, following the CMMI phases. The same path whether it is a two-week feature or a year-long platform.

  1. 1

    Planning

Scope, effort and cost estimates, risks and the project plan, documented so nobody has to guess what “done” means.

  2. 2

    Analysis and design

Turning the client’s needs into requirements and design: discovery sessions, use cases, prototypes and specifications, validated with the client.

  3. 3

    Development

Short iterations with peer reviews and QA, and a developer’s eye on the blockers before they become delays.

  4. 4

    Release

Demos and acceptance sessions with the client, then the formal delivery of what was agreed.

  5. Monitoring, all the way through

Dailies, a retrospective at the close of every iteration, indicators, risks and corrective actions, so deviations show up in time and what we learn feeds the next project.
